Dear Rethinkers,

I’m writing this on the train,
staring out the window at the snowing mountains as I head back from the World Economic Forum in Davos. At my feet is a Swiss woman’s gorgeous black Labrador puppy, fast asleep, occasionally stretching a paw onto my boots. It honestly feels like a gift to have a dog next to me as my body and mind are so wired. Oof, it’s a lot to digest. So many people, so many steps!

What follows isn’t a neat summary of key takeaways. It’s an attempt to join some dots between ideas I heard, tensions I felt, and a subtle but unmistakable shift in how people are talking about certain companies, countries, and even concepts we once took for granted. These are five early thought signals, and things I think are worth sitting with a little longer.
