Rethink Recommends: Five ideas from Davos worth your time
How conversations around AI, climate, and trust are shifting
Dear Rethinkers,
I’m writing this on the train, staring out the window at the snowing mountains as I head back from the World Economic Forum in Davos. At my feet is a Swiss woman’s gorgeous black Labrador puppy, fast asleep, occasionally stretching a paw onto my boots. It honestly feels like a gift to have a dog next to me as my body and mind are so wired. Oof, it’s a lot to digest. So many people, so many steps!

What follows isn’t a neat summary of key takeaways. It’s an attempt to join some dots between ideas I heard, tensions I felt, and a subtle but unmistakable shift in how people are talking about certain companies, countries, and even concepts we once took for granted. These are five early thought signals, and things I think are worth sitting with a little longer.
