In a sense, that is all we can do. Each of us comes to the table with limited information, we can't know everything. We can only bring a small piece, a brick.

But gather enough people together and allow them to bounce ideas freely, they are able to tease the signal from the noise. Indeed, they can generate something greater than the sum of its parts.

On a society-level, it would be helpful, I think, to adopt this approach in citizens assemblies, where people can vote directly on matters that affect them, perhaps through quadratic voting.

They say the simple things in life are often the best. Too often we don't reset and go back to the basics, be it time poor or lack of interest from others due to increase work load and someone else can do that - I'll just go along for the ride.

Takes more effort and trust from the manager to muster their team and drive this, but the results from this style should be far uplifting to any group/organisation.
